J. Konarski - painter associated with the Munich school of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His oeuvre was similar to the works of Alfred Wierusz Kowalski - both in terms of the subject matter and the manner of painting. The affinity of the two artists' paintings allowed some researchers to identify Konarski's works with those of the master himself. Konarski's works are characterized by dynamic scenes - most often galloping horses pulling sledges - and realism in depicting the life of the Polish countryside.
