Talented Ukrainian landscape painter, in whose work one notices the influence of Jan Stanislawski or Leon Wyczółkowski. He captured views from his native lands (Dnieper and Crimea) and distant travels (including Palestine, Italy and Egypt). The presented landscape with a representative format impresses with its decorativeness. Chiaroscuro effects and impressionistic rendering of the shimmering water, subtle nuances in the color of the sky and fondly painted trees, are part of the artist's characteristic style. Trusz painted at different times of the day and year, which involved different lighting. One can sense in his paintings this sensitivity to the intensity of the light and an abiding admiration for the beauty of nature.
