Biography
The biography of the artist until World War II remains unknown. According to sources, he took part in battles and was taken prisoner of war. After his liberation from the prisoner-of-war camp, he ended up in Paris, with which he linked his painting career. It was most likely on the Seine that he began to learn the plastic craft. He was listed at the Paris Salons as early as the 1950s. His works also gained popularity in London and New York, for example. He mainly took up portrait subjects, and among his favorite motifs are moody and sensitive silhouettes of women, girls and ballerinas, usually captured at the moment of toilette or preparation for a performance on stage and maintained in a pastel color range.
