Not much is known about the author, although he became known as a talented illustrator and author of postcards with views of Poznan, published both in the interwar period and during the German occupation. He was associated with the local art community. His watercolor works, which appear sporadically, show great dexterity in using this difficult technique and indicate a solid workshop background. A thumbnail with a view of a highlander's cottage in the snow shows that not only urban vedutas were in his circle of interest.
