Franz Xaver von Hofstetten German landscape painter. She studied at the University of Munich. He began exhibiting paintings relatively early. In 1830, he presented a series of seven landscapes as part of an exhibition organized by the Art Society of Munich (Kunstverein München).
The artist painted mainly mountain views, drawing inspiration from the landscapes of southern Bavaria and Austria.
