Italian genre painter, landscape and portrait painter. He studied at the Accademia Albertina in Turin under Andrea Gastaldi. He exhibited regularly from 1884, winning numerous awards and public acclaim. He spent the years 188-90 in Paris. He then lived in Turin. Many of his paintings were bought by state and municipal galleries. he was also supported by King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy. In his late period, he focused on alpine landscapes of the Turin area.
