Estimations: 10 000 - 20 000 EUR
Oil on panel, 78 × 49 cm

Saint Elisabeth of Thuringia (1207–1231), daughter of a Hungarian king and later Landgravine of Thuringia through marriage, is renowned for her charitable endeavors, symbolized by the loaves of bread she carries. Canonized in 1235, she stands before a backdrop of baluster columns, with a panoramic landscape depicting a city nestled amidst towering mountains visible beyond.

As a noblewoman, Elisabeth is clothed in the opulent attire characteristic of noblewomen in the early 16th century. She is wearing crimson gown adorned with a gold collar and intricately embellished hood. Her golden locks of hair waves expressively, which is a motif reminiscent of female saints depicted by artists such as Lucas Cranach, evoking a sense of movement as if stirred by the wind. Oil on panel, 78 × 49 cm,
