Atmospheric urban scene with sunset motif. The broad brushstrokes, the luminosity of the composition brought out by the juxtaposition of contrasting colors and the subtlety, almost impressionistic rendering of the scene taking place in a city square, deserve special attention. The painting was created in the year of one of the artist's trips to Italy, during which she visited Venice and Rome. In this painting, the color palette deviates from the serene, if only seaside views familiar from southern Europe. In this case, however, the less popular motif seems all the more interesting.
