The infant Jesus is holding a cross in his hands, from which radiance surrounds the figure. From behind Mary's back, an elderly bearded man - St. Joseph - is looking toward the child, supported by an anklet. This is an exceptionally successful and high-level workmanship object of sacred art, intended for private devotion, and at the same time a high-quality miniature painting of the turn of the 20th century
