Artur Markowicz (1872-1934) painter, illustrator of Jewish descent. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow with Leopold Löffler, Władysław Łuszczkiewicz, Florian Cynk and Jan Matejko. His work is dominated primarily by scenes of everyday life of the Jews of Cracow, and landscapes of Cracow. The artist used pastels very often.
