Stanislaw Wodzicki is depicted wearing the uniform of a senior officer from the period of the Duchy of Warsaw. The uniform has a distinctive standing collar in crimson, trimmed with officer's hose and silver epaulettes of a senior officer. On the chest is pinned the star of the Order of St. Stanislaus, and under the uniform is an order sash.
Stanislaw Wodzicki (1764 Rogow-1843 Krakow) was a conservative politician, leader of the Krakow aristocratic party, and a Knight of the Order of St. Stanislaw. During the Duchy of Warsaw, from 1809, he was director of the police, and in 1810-1813 he was prefect of the Cracow department. After the establishment of the Free City of Cracow, he was appointed president of the governing Senate of the Republic of Cracow in 1815. He held this position until 1831.After the November Uprising, he settled at his estate in Niedźwiedz, where he devoted himself to botany and horticulture. He co-organized the Krakow National Society and the Benevolent Society. He contributed to the creation of the Kosciuszko Mound and Krakow's plantations. He died on March 14, 1843, and was portrayed by Jozef Brodowski, Jozef Peszke and Jan Wojnarski, among others.
