Album combines the function of a drawing album and a collection of works received from friends while traveling in Europe.

Size: 25 x 34 cm; embossed leather with studs and escutcheons; lockable (lock remains, key missing); most likely a French product (stylized Bourbon lilies); gilt edges of pages.
French (stylized Bourbon lilies); silk lining; gilt page edges. Spine slightly worn, front and back covers in good condition.
Pages 66. on first four pages pencil drawings - portrait of young woman (owner?) and allegorical scene with Genius). Further
shuffled are works pasted into the album, and others (mainly portraits), drawn directly on its pages. Among others, Portrait of a young
of a woman, drawn in 1858 by Andrzej Jerzy Mniszech, the same Portrait of a man in an orifice, n.d. Andrzej Jerzy Filip Stanisław Wandalin Mniszech (1823 in
Wiśniowiec, died 1905 in Paris) - count, landowner, painter, collector.
He began his drawing lessons with his brother Jerzy in Wiśniowiec, and continued in the 1860s in Paris with Jean Gigoux and Leon Cogniet, painting mainly portraits. Views of architecture: Castle of Boppard on the Rhine (1855); Tour de Beaumont (Belgique) D. de Caramon 1847; Castle of
Chanonceaux Eug. Cicery 1864; St. Malo, mal. Eugen Jonker; View of Geneva, color; Meran (and numerous portrait sketches) signed LK; Lodz on the Shore, pencil gouache; Katarzyna Kossakowska (married Stanislaw Lempicki in 1858); Mountain Landscape signed pencil. Antoni Potocki; Zerwany most, in lead, signed in gouache. Natalie de Ligne, 1852 (daughter of Eugene 8th duc de Ligne;his last wife was Jadwiga Lubomirska). In addition, painted
images: Boy, Monk, Praying Girl, alt. Gaston de Segur, 1846, Arab with a pipe. Some of the drawings are missing. Intervening polonica:
Façade of Montresor Castle, Great Hall of Montresor Castle - not signed. At the end of the album pasted two photographs taken by Ignacy Krieger showing the Cloth Hall before the renovation and removal of the outer
stalls (ca. 1875). Ignacy (Isaac) Krieger (born 1817 or 1820 in the village of Mikolaj, Wadowice district, died June 17, 1889 in Cracow) - a Cracow-based
photographer, owner of a photographic establishment documenting the city and its monuments. Drawing "My father's room in Klemensów. My mother was drawing. (with a different hand than the sketches)" may indicate that the owner of the album was Celestyna Zamoyska, and the author of the sketch was Zofia née Czartoryska, daughter of Izabela née Flemming

Condition of preservation: cracked spine.
