Adam Setkowicz (Krakow 1876 - Krakow 1945) was a popular painter of genre scenes with carriages, hunting, sleighs and snow, painted in watercolor or oil, in which he clearly referred to the works of A. Wierusz-Kowalski, J. Brandt or J. Fałat. However, little is known about the artist's life except that in 1891-1894 he was educated at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow, where in 1897/1898 he continued his studies under Teodor Axentowicz. In 1933 he took part in an exhibition in Piotrkow Trybunalski.
