Despite the lack of a signature, Archipov's authorship is confirmed in her expert opinion dated October 17, 1998 by Lidia Skalska-Miecik - who specializes in Russian painting, who writes: "After examining the painting, I conclude that it is the work of Abram Yefimovich Archipov (...). The freely painted studies from nature, depicting scenes from Russian village life, are very characteristic of the artist's work of the last thirty years of his life. (...) Typical for Archipov is the freedom of brushwork, richness of color, compact horizontal composition and silhouettes of women, whose faces in similar sketches were of little interest to the artist - the most important thing for him was to convey the atmosphere of everyday peasant existence and the colorfulness of the countryside."
