Badge of the 9th Flanders Rifle Battalion of General Maczek's 1st Armored Division.
A one-piece badge in the shape of a stylized eagle with a crown. In the left wing of the eagle is incorporated the hallmark of the 1st Armored Division. In the lower part of the badge the initials of the battalion ( 9BSF) are inscribed, punctuated by a shield with the coat of arms of Belgium.
The reverse of the badge is plain, with a mounting post in the center and a plain cap. Badge numbered at the bottom, no. 1165.
The 9th Flanders Rifle Battalion was part of General Maczek's 1st Armored Division., The regiment fought in France, then in Holland, Belgium and Germany.
