Beneath the tree is the Tobruk badge, referring to the division's origins from its origins in the Independent Carpathian Rifle Brigade. On the upper shoulder is the abbreviation 3DSK, meaning 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division.
The reverse of the badge is plain with a threaded post and cap with the manufacturer (F.M Lorioli, Milano-Roma).
