The badge consists of a ribbon, dark blue with two horizontal stripes ( the colors of the Order of Virtuti Militari ). On the badge superimposed a five-pointed star, indicating the number of wounds and injuries suffered. On the reverse, the mustache of the star attachment is visible.
The Wounds and Injuries Badge chronologically was the second decoration after the Order of Virtuti Militari, this badge was held in high esteem in the military structure as well as in society.
