A very nice example of a rare commemorative badge.
Badge established by Leon Berbecki awarded to defenders of the city of Belz. The first awarding took place in the city on January 27, 1920.
Silver plating abrasions.
Front: in the shield a view of the city, above it a helmet with an eagle, a lance, a rifle and crossed blades, below it the dates 18.II.19./29.I-18.III/1919, as well as crossed sabers and the initials LB, on the trail of the shield the motto "CHROBREJ ZAŁODZE
and 14 nails;
Reverse: FOR THE "HEROIC" (AS ORDERED BY THE COMMAND) DEFENSE OF THE "CHROBREY" (THAT'S WHAT THE ENEMY NAMED) LADY No. 284;
