Parvus (1/4 of a quarto) attributed to the Volga mint, an issue dated to the early 14th century. Kopicki notes only quarters with an image of an ox's head and a six-pointed star. Parvuses, due to the same size of the images, were probably struck with the same stamps as quarters, only on smaller disks. A rare medieval coin. Full legibility, remnants of lustre in the background.
