Tomasz Kuran was born in 1971. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art. The protagonists of his works are usually abstract figures set in various types of landscapes and motifs. His work includes landscapes and abstractions, as well as prints or monochrome paintings. His painting is all about color, which the artist intriguingly selects and combines. He builds his paintings in planes, interestingly modeling the composition with chiaroscuro and abstract elements. He has participated in several solo exhibitions, and has co-curated several group exhibitions at home and abroad, including at the State Art Gallery in Plock, the Dzwonnica gallery in Warsaw and the Vienna House of Culture.
