Biography
Painter, graphic artist, illustrator, photographer. In 2010-15 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, in the painting studio of Professor Jaroslaw Modzelewski. As a student, he made his debut in May 2015 during the Diploma Exhibition at the Studio Gallery, in the Polish State Palace of Arts in Warsaw and at the Best Diplomas Exhibition of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. In 2015, employed as a debuting assistant at the Faculty of Painting of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the first-year Drawing Studio. Member of the Association of Polish Artists of the Warsaw District since 2016. He paints paintings of strong form and expressive composition, working with sharp color combinations. These means of expression are appropriate to the subject matter of the paintings responding to emotions triggered by current political events. The sense of the threat to the individual by systems of oppression, the ever-present echo of totalitarianisms, is encapsulated by the artist in the expressive but clear form of his paintings. He is one of the artists for whom art is not an escape, but an attempt to name and show the dangers hidden under the layer of carefree and deluded by the incessant fun of consumer culture.
