Biography
Designer, graphic designer, painter. Graduate of the Poznan Academy of Fine Arts (currently the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Arts) at the department of graphic design, graduated with the title of Master of Arts in 2009. He creates works in the geometric abstraction trend, inspired by the architecture of modernism and the art of street-art and graffiti, with which he has been associated since his youth. His paintings are carefully considered and designed compositions, combining the entire spectrum of geometric figures, gradients and textures. During the creative process, he often modifies the layout and color palette, trying to achieve a surprising and engaging visual effect for the viewer. Using diverse techniques, he pairs synthetic edges and color affixes with dynamic and organic structures, resulting from the nature of the tools and media - this contrast influences the individual character of the objects he creates. Paintings and objects by Piotr Wojtecki can be found in private collections in Poland and abroad - in Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Sweden.
