"When creating, I am constantly seeking a balance between clarity and subtlety. I am fascinated by working with non-obvious materials, which is reflected in the minimalist paintings/reliefs I create, using an authorial technique developed over many months.
I call my paintings "ghosts" because of their "disappearance" when darkness falls and their diametrically different reception depending on the changing light. I look to nature for inspiration, which is evident in the organic textures of my works.
My work applauds minimalism and subtlety. The more complex or parsimonious structures of the works give them three-dimensionality and invite the viewer to discover the details. The paintings 'live' and change depending on the time of day, the amount and angle of light."
