Biography
Henryk Kozakiewicz graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1961 in the studio of Professor K. Tomorowicz. While still a student, he developed his individual style, consisting of a peculiar reception of surrealism, and was faithful to it throughout his years of creative work. He had several solo exhibitions - the first of which was held at the Debut Salon in 1966, another - in Astrup, Denmark, two years later. At the same time he exhibited in Denmark together with "Group 7", J. Raczko, J. Kubaszewski and J. Kołacz, which also resulted in the presentation of Danish surrealists in Poland. He participated in numerous exhibitions at the Zachęta Gallery and the House of the Visual Artist in Warsaw. He died suddenly in 1985, at the age of only 48.
