Biography
Visual artist working in printmaking and painting. Her work is characterized by the power of juxtaposed colors. A frequent subject of her work is landscape. The representations are usually simple in form, with a few elements placed against a minimalist landscape background. The artist draws inspiration from both wild nature and more domesticated, urban spaces. Her paintings are a synthesis of associations that often only seemingly verge on the absurd. They are an interpretation of events and emotions that she observes in everyday life, giving them appropriate weight. The depiction of wild animals against the backdrop of familiar, everyday landscapes addresses the basic question that accompanies it: why so and not so? It is an attempt to understand and explain phenomena that cannot be reduced to a single color patch or a simple sentence.
