Graduated from the Faculty of Electronics, Gdansk University of Technology in 1974, followed by a PhD (1983) and habilitation (2004) at the Institute of Electron Technology (ITE) in Warsaw in the field of semiconductor optoelectronics. Professional interests in the design, construction and technology of semiconductor lasers pursued at ITE and then as a researcher, then head of the Department of Optoelectronics at the Institute of Electronic Materials Technology (ITME).
Authorship and co-authorship of more than 100 publications and patents in national and international publications. Completion of scientific activities as of 2019.
The place of birth - Szczecin - the port, the wide bodies of water of the Oder River, proximity to the sea - had a great influence on the artistic imagination.
Interest in painting - starting from the Art Studio of the Palace of Youth in Szczecin, then in the form of amateur work, among other things:
- Participation in the exhibition of the twentieth anniversary of the Warsaw Association of Non-professional Artists - Warsaw hall of the Warsaw University of Technology 1978;
- Works in the collections of the gallery of the publishing house "Fantastyka", participation in the exhibitions of the festivals "Polcon" and "Days of Fantastyka" in 1984 - 1989;
- Works in private collections in Poland and abroad - through "Arka" Gallery in Warsaw and "Desa" Gallery in Szczecin in 1985 - 1995;
- Co-owner of the company "MAAG" s.c. 1994 - 2011. designs of ceramic floor compositions, color schemes for auditoriums https://maag.biz.pl ;
Modena Italy - 1st prize in the competition AWARD designing for everlasting beauty ARIOSTERIA MARMI 2000 for ceramic tile floor compositions in the halls of the Ożarów Cable Factory;
- Sanocki Dom Kultury - author's exhibition of paintings during the opening of SDK after reconstruction according to the design of MAAG studio - 2000.
Since 2019, activation of previous interests in the field of visual art, in conjunction with experience in optical techniques:
- Cooperation with the Agra Art Auction House in Warsaw, concerning also oil painting;
- Cooperation with Architected Sound in Cracow, acoustic paintings - prints on acoustic substrates;
- Cooperation with ArtOfPoland Gallery in Warsaw;
- Cooperation with Artmajeur Gallery France;
- Author's exhibition of interference photo-graphics and painting at the "Teddy" House of Culture in Ursus - February 2022;
- Special Prize of the Director of the Regional Cultural Center in the XXV International Competition of Digital Photocreation CYBERFOTO - March 2022;
- Exhibition of interference painting and photo-graphics at the Sanok Cultural Center accompanying the Festivals "Stars of Jazz at the Sanok Cultural Center" June 2022.
- Author's exhibition of interference photo-graphics in the House of Culture "Arsus" in Warsaw - February 2023.
- Author's exhibition of interference photo-graphics, guest at the 5th International Conference "Scenes of Tomorrow" in Warsaw - March 2023.
- Distinction in the XXVI International Competition of Digital Photocreation "CYBERFOTO" of the Regional Cultural Center in Częstochowa - March 2023;
