The work was created in 2022 with the support of the Creative Scholarship of the City of Krakow. These are illustrations for the artist's literary debut entitled. "Zapiski madiatki" published by ZNAK in 2022. The book was nominated for the Nike Literary Award. The set of illustrations was shown at an exhibition at the MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow in late winter/early spring this year. The series includes 16 illustrations.
Aleksandra Mlynarczyk-Gemza (born 1988) - multimedia artist, photographer, performer,
writer. A native of the Zywiec area, she has been living and working in Krakow since 2008. D. in art
(Faculty of Art at the KEN Pedagogical University in Krakow), graduate of the Faculty of
Painting of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts. She has completed numerous internships in contemporary art galleries (e.g.
At the Palace of Contemporary Art of the National Gallery in Prague). After graduation, she was associated with
creative community of the Together Pamoja Foundation and Krakow Art House. In her
intermedia projects she readily adopts an art-therapeutic perspective. Winner of
Picture of the Year Award at the 2nd Krakow Art Salon 2019, a scholarship holder of the Fund
ZAIKS Fund for the Support of Creativity and the Creative Scholarship of the City of Krakow 2022.Author of.
