Urszula Koziel, born 1977, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology. She is also a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow at the Faculty of Painting, where she received her diploma in the atelier of Prof. Teresa Kotkowska - Rzepecka, and an annex to her diploma under the direction of Wojciech Kubiak.
The artist combines the fields of painting and architecture in her artworks by adding spatial forms and 3D printed elements to her painting works. The works often consist of several connected stretchers, resulting in multi-dimensional spatial compositions. Her paintings with expressive and bold colors correspond with modern interiors as an accent, a contrasting dominant, or as a harmonious complement to the whole. A characteristic feature of the artist's work is changeability and constant exploration. She is the author of many series of paintings such as: "Calm. "Tame Geometry" , "Soap bubbles", "In my dream". , "Expressions." Simple, often spatial works, with bright and vivid colors appearing, for example, in the series "Calmly", compete with organic but still abstract forms contained in paintings from the cycles " Tame Geometry" or "Expressions". The "Soap Bubbles" series, on the other hand, shows an escape from the real world into the world of dreams and fairy tales. The artist is constantly searching therefore her paintings are diverse and surprising.
