William IV (1830-1837). Mohur, Flan bruni (PROOF), refrappe with corner of 1841 (mule) 1835 [1841], Bombay. PCGS PR61 (41775448).

Av. WILLIAM - IIII, KING. King's head right; below (date).

Rv. EAST INDIA COMPANY. Lion passing left in front of a palm tree; in exergue ONE MOHUR, as well as in Persian.

S&W.1.16C - Prid.17 restrike - KM.451.1 - Fr.1593b; Gold - 26 mm - 12 h

This is the second highest grade!

PCGS PR61 (41775448).

Burnished blank (PROOF). Without initial on the neck or dot after the date, for the Bombay workshop. Later refrappe with fluted edge: the reverse used is Victoria's from 1841 (Mule 1835-1841). Cameo appearance with mirror fields contrasting with matte relief. Minimal handling marks. Superb at Fleur de coin.
