Danzig ducat from an issue of "broad", "fleshy" ducats of Sigismund III.
Ducats of the 1612 vintage are an issue maintained in a uniform style, the hand of a single engraver. They differ mainly in royal titulature and details on the reverse.
The present one is a variation with large last digits "12" in the date, a branch above the shield with three flowers and a titulature ending in L.R.P.
Nice in presentation. Slightly bent. With preserved very nice mint luster on the reverse.
A rare item.
Gold, diameter 23.6 mm, weight 3.49 g.
