Sigismund I the Old, Half-penny 1526, Vilnius - error, SICISMVNDI - very rare
Variety with a Hound without a sword scabbard (hind legs short) on the obverse and an Eagle with top feathers pointing towards the Eagle's head (different number of feathers on the wings) on the reverse.
Error - ...SICISMVNDI... instead of ... SIGISMVNDI ... - very rare.
State of preservation: NGC AU55
Underbite in the rim, but a beautifully preserved coin. Mint luster and mirror finish. Rare vintage. Very rare error in the king's name - SICISMVNDI. In this state of preservation, the coin is rare and difficult on the collector market.
