Sigismund I the Old, Half-penny 1518, Vilnius - Mott, dot - punctuation - undescribed
Variant with a Pogo without a sword scabbard (hind legs forward) on the obverse and an Eagle with top feathers pointing toward the Eagle's head (long neck and five feathers) on the reverse.
A variant of punctuation with a period before the date and a colon after the date and a colon after LITVAN - very rare.
Curiosity - a mottle under the horse's belly.
Error - the letters V and N in ... SIGISMVNDI ... have been scored with different letters (in our opinion, V for N and N for D) - a very rare error, not described in the specialized Huletski/Bagdonas catalog.
State of preservation: 2+
Slight rim deficiency, but a fully legible and beautifully preserved coin. Mint luster and mirror. Very rare punctuation variant. Very rare and undescribed punctuation. Mottled under the Pogo. A very rare coin and very difficult to get on the collectors market. A beautiful piece for the best collections.
