Jagiellonians, Sigismund I the Old (1506-1548), penny minted in 1540, Gdansk mint.

Obverse:✱SIGIS-I-REX-POLO-DO-TO-PRV

Reverse:GROSSVS-CIVI-GEDANEN-1540

Diameter 22 mm Weight 1.61 g

Numismatic in beautiful state of preservation, in a light patina with a mint luster background. Bust type of the ruler wearing a crown and cap not filling the inside of the crown. The cap as well as the crown abutment decorated with "pearls". PRV legend ending. Mint mark "Hooks" as the finial of the reverse legend. The coin comes in an envelope with a description of the legend, diameter and weight, as well as the characteristic features of the coin.
