Extremely rare crown penny from 1529 with the punctuation mark crowning the reverse legend missing.
The author of a catalog of the Cracow pennies of Sigismund I the Old claims that this is the second piece of such a penny known to him. Such a variant is found in Romanczyk's catalog with an assigned rarity of R* (1 to 3 known pieces).
Obverse: under the crown the legend:
SIGISMVND/PRIM-REX/POLONIE, below the Odrowąż coat of arms;
Reverse: in the pearl rim an eagle with a spread tail, in the outer rim the legend:
COIN*REGNI*POLONIE*1529;
