On the obverse: crowned S below the Lewart coat of arms in a cartouche; legend SIG III DG R (Lewart) POLONI 93, on the reverse: crowned shields of arms in characteristic cartouches - of the Crown and Lithuania, below the Vasa; legend SOLID REG PO (Snopek) ONI M D L. Crown shillings of Sigismund III Vasa, are exceptionally diverse coins minted at several mints, representing an interesting and still underrated collector's subject. Despite so far, not very high rarity ratings in catalogs, most of them are extremely difficult to collect due to poor minting in coinage silver - here a nicely preserved piece in a fine patina, with an erroneous notation PO-ONI instead of POLONI, unlisted in Marzêta's catalog! A great rarity.
