A characteristic type of semi-penny of Casimir IV Jagiellonian, dated 1479-1492, with the Poraj coat of arms (of Piotr Kurozwęcki - Great Treasurer of the Crown).
Av: Crowned eagle, with its head to the left. In the rim: + MONETA x KAZIMIRI
Rw: Crown. In the lower fields two crosses. Under the crown, the Poraj (Rose) coat of arms. In the rim: + REGIS x POLONIE
Variety with a trilobed above the helm of the crown.
Inscribed variety with the letter S in REGIS in mirror image.
Condition: 2+/2
A beautifully struck and preserved piece for this type of coin. Lots of mirror and luster. A more interesting and rare inscription variety.
