Jan III Sobieski, Sixpence 1680 TLB/C, Cracow - rare and exquisite
Bust in profile to the right in armor with a masquerade in the form of a lion on the chest.
Under the bust initials T L B (Titus Livius Boratini - lessee of the Cracow mint).
Between the shields of the coat of arms the letter C (the designation of the Cracow mint).
Error - incorrect denomination IV instead of VI above the shields on the reverse - rare.
Condition: 1
Brilliantly minted and exquisitely preserved piece. Deep, artistic relief. Impressive detail. Intense luster and mint mirror over the entire surface. Denomination error - "fourscore instead of sixescore". Beautiful coin in absolute mint condition. In this state of preservation very rare and very difficult to get on the collector market. An exquisite piece for connoisseurs.
