Bust of John II Casimir Vasa in profile to the right wearing a crown and armor (with an exposed arm) covered with a cloak. On the chest the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece.
In the rim an inscription punctuated at the top with a crown: IOH CAS D G REX POL & SUEC M D L R P
Rw.:
Two lions support an oval shield with the coat of arms of Gdansk. Above the shield a wreath of rosettes with a five-leaved branch. Under the lions' paws initials D - L (of Daniel Lesse - lessee of the Danzig mint in 1650-1685). Below the shield an ornamental console.
In the rim: MON AUREA CIVITAT GEDANENSIS 1658

Slightly bent. Beautifully stamped and preserved piece. Beautiful detail. Mint gloss and mirror finish. Despite the bent, this is a beautiful collector's piece.
