Issue minted on the occasion of the 900th anniversary of the coronation of the first King of Poland.
The denomination introduced by the reform of January 11, 1924. Coin minted according to the design won in the second competition by Zofia Trzcińska-Kamińska - author of the design used to mint the 1933 10 zloty with Traugutt. The issue was based on a decree of the Minister of Treasury of June 14, 1926. Interestingly, gold coins could also be issued from private gold, which was not included in official reports. Therefore, the coins come in different color varieties depending on the type of gold from which they were minted.
Official mintage: 27240 pieces.
The coin is minted in .900 gold, on 21 mm diameter discs, with a prescribed weight of 6.45 g.
Obverse: crowned eagle, in the rim the inscription: REPUBLIC OF POLAND 20 ZLOTYS
Reverse: bust of Bolesław Chrobry facing left, in the rim legend: BOLESŁAW CHROBRY 1025-1925, under the bust the Kościesza coat of arms - the mark of the State Mint in Warsaw.
