Weight 0.68 g. Rare in any state of preservation. The 1942 10-phenig coin, referred to by numismatists as "type II," was introduced into circulation on December 8, 1942. Unlike the design of the 1942 10-phenig "type I" coin, the design of the "type II" 10-phenig coin was made in accordance with the recommendations of the head of the German ghetto administration, Hans Biebow. The 10 fenig "type II" is rarer than the "type I". The coin comes with a certificate from ghetto coin expert Jack Sarosiek, confirming its originality.
