Rarer and interesting denarius of Gordian III, with reverse depicting Hercules

Obverse: bust of the emperor wearing a laurel wreath, cloak and armor to the right, IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG

Reverse: naked Hercules standing to the right, supported on a mace resting on a rock, next to a lion skin, VIRTVTI AVGVSTI

Condition 2: Very well-preserved coin with luster. Literature: RIC 116 (R)
