Obverse: crowned eagle, in the rim the legend: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA ♦rok♦. On the sides of the eagle the designer's initials W - J, under the eagle's right foot the Kościesza coat of arms - the mark of the State Mint in Warsaw.
Reverse: stylized acanthus leaves, between them the number 1, below the inscription GROSZ.
