A characteristic type of the quarto of Casimir III the Great minted for Red Ruthenia at the Lviv mint. Coin dated 1360-1370.
Av: Crowned letter K in a four-arched rosette. Under the letter a ring, on the sides of the letter three rings each. Outside in the corners of the rosette rings. In the rim: + ◦ REGIS ◦ POLONIE K ◦
Rw: A lion stepping to the left. In the rim: + MONETA ◦ D'OI ◦ RVCSIE ◦ K
Interpunctuation in the form of single rings.
State of preservation: 2-/3+
Jam on reverse (visible in photos, looks like justunek). A beautiful piece for this type of coin. Centrally minted, very good relief and details. Full legibility of the obverse inscriptions. In such a state of preservation, the coin is rare and difficult to find on the collector's market.
