Silver, 3.04 g, 18.9 mm. RIC II.1 790.

Grade: Good VF / about EF.

Domitian's monetary policy can be divided into two periods. The first one covers the first two years of the emperor's reign and is characterized by a certain typological canon of issues that were issued in eight types. In 83, however, this canon was abandoned, establishing a new typology of gold and silver coinage. From then on, the reverse of denarii and aureuses began to be dominated by Minerva, which appeared on them every year. In the years 86-94 there were only three exceptions to this rule.
