oil on canvas, 100,00 x 60,00 cm
Born in 1959 in Cieszyn Silesia. Student of Jerzy Duda-Gracz at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. He received his diploma at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1983 - together with painters Piotr Naliwajka and Janusz Szpyt - he founded the Group of Three, the so-called "Tercet Nadęty", and the magazine "Bengal Czestochowski", in which Maestro shocked with manifestos and published precursory advertisements. In 1988, he received the prestigious Grand Prix of the National Exhibition of Young Visual Arts "Arsenal '88" (which was visited by 100,000 viewers!) and the admiration of an international jury, including Franciszek Starowieyski and Roman Opalka. At the end of the 1980s, he left for Germany, then lived and worked in Belgium, only to return to Poland a few years ago. He participated in the most important artistic events in Europe: the BIAF Art Fair in Barcelona, the Basel Art Fair and the annual figurative painting exhibition "Figuration Critique" at the Grand Palais in Paris. He has had more than 200 solo and group exhibitions in many European countries, the United States, Canada and Japan. His bold realizations of mural and plafond paintings can be found in hotels, private residences throughout Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland, and his easel and canvas works in dozens of private collections.
