The artist practices alchemy in painting both formally
inspired by different eras of art history such as the
Classical Renaissance or dynamic and mysterious Baroque. At the same time,
practicing oil painting, he tries to explore the secrets of the old workshop,
where, for example, artists used to grind the paints themselves. A graduate of the Academy of
Fine Arts in Gdansk (2002). He deals with oil painting, tempera painting
and drawing, using a variety of techniques. Many times
is inspired by the art of the Renaissance and Baroque eras, which can be seen especially in numerous
grotesques. He delves into the alchemical side of painting technique, the results of which he
He uses in his works. Participant of numerous plein-air painting workshops
(including Uher near Chełm, Stoczek Klasztorny, Osieki, Pieńków, Włodawa). His
painting "Two figures in the interior" is in the collection of the National Museum
Gdansk (MNG/SW/2010/MR). In 2014-2017, he worked
as a painting animator and painting designer in the BreakThru Films team,
being the author of the largest number of animation shots of the film Loving Vincent,
which received, among other awards, the European Film Award (2017) and a nomination for the
Academy Award (2018). In 2019, Jerzy Lisak, as part of the International Summer
Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg, he taught classes together with Paulina
Olowska, with whom he also participates in other joint projects. Among

- at the Nizio Gallery in Warsaw (2019) and at the Zofia Weiss Gallery in Krakow
(2023).
