Jacek Zielinski has been living in Torun since 1997. He is a graphic artist by education.
He creates mainly in the following techniques: drypoint, drypoint, copperplate, collography,
monotype and collage. In fact, it can be said that the works he creates, have
characteristics of both printmaking and painting. Thanks to the combination of such
graphic techniques, such as drypoint and monotype, he gives each work he creates an
work an individual character. At the center of his aesthetic fascinations are mainly the
Four Elements. As a rule, Zielinski's works of authorship primarily show moments of
of transcending oneself, present a moment of fundamental transformation of one's ego, or a
transition from one emotional state to another. This metamorphosis is usually
violent and aggressive (hence the color and form), because only such awakens from dormancy and allows the
emergence of a new consciousness. It is also associated with sacrifice and denial. Some of the works
are also reinterpretations of symbols present in culture. She is also inspired by the human figure,
trying to reflect its sensibility and dynamism.... Similar in nature are works inspired by
historic architecture. Several hundred years old buildings penetrate the structure of trees, the colors of clouds and
light spill over the roofs of houses, cathedrals, determine the shape of streets. Jacek Zielinski
is also involved in photography. Using various types of filters placed in front of the
lens. Using primarily analog techniques, he creates oneiric, fluid
images of human figures, spaces and objects. His works can be found in private
collections not only in Poland, but also in other European countries (Germany, France, England,
Spain, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Russia) and in Canada.
