Jaremi Picz born in 1955, painter, graphic artist, sculptor. His work is inspired by the widely perceived universe. His most popular series "Epicenter Quantum" is a painterly interpretation of the supernova explosion process. Depicting the dynamic destruction accompanying the entire process, the change of form as well as the effect of creating a new form. The circles visible in the artist's paintings are a symbol of the process: it starts at one point and spreads, creating the germs of life and a new structure. Jaremi Picz's paintings, with their unique color and centralized composition, seem to draw the viewer into the world of macrocosm and energy. The second part of the name from the series "Quantum" refers to the philosophy of Max Planck, the German physicist who gave rise to quantum mechanics by introducing the concept according to which energy can only be emitted in specific portions, called quanta. The work also has a second face that can only be seen when illuminated with ultraviolet light. In 2012, he received the badge "Meritorious for Polish Culture," Ministry of Culture and National Heritage; in 2018, the International Prize Caravaggio Award, Milan; in 2022, the Bronze Cross of Merit, awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland. He has participated in many exhibitions and plein-air events, among others in the USA, France, Germany, Spain, Monaco, Ukraine, England , Argentina, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, Luxembourg or Belgium.
