Folk artist, painter and musician associated with Zakopane and the tradition of highland culture, the knowledge of which he acquired from his family home. Initially engaged in furniture and woodcarving, working with Zakopane Pattern Workshops. At the age of 40, he became interested in painting and completed a course organized by the Podhale Association, his instructor was Jan Jachimiak. After winning a prize in 1968 in a glass painting competition organized by the Tatra Museum, he began working with Cepelia and museums. He took part in many glass painting competitions (Zakopane, Nowy Targ, Rabka, Toruń, Warsaw) and participated in numerous exhibitions, including in Cracow, Lublin, Toruń, Plock, Nowy Sącz, Wroclaw. In his work he took up sacred themes and painted motifs related to highland folklore.
