Zdzislaw Cyankiewicz (alias Cyan) was born in 1912 in Bialystok, died in Paris in 1981. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1937 he went to Paris, where he became associated with the Ecole de Paris circle of artists. After the war he remained in Paris, where he exhibited at Galerie Charpentier (1961), Grand Palais (1975), Salon d'Automne (1976), Bilan de l'Art Contemporain (1979), among others.
